Bacon Cheddar Beer Bread
3 cups all purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tsp. Salt
3 tbls. Granulated sugar
11/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 12oz. Can or bottle beer
4 slices of cooked bacon, chopped
2 tbs. Melted butter
Preheat oven to 350*. Grease 9x5
loaf pan.
In a large bowl combine all dry ingredients, whisk to mix, make a well in the
middle. Add bacon, 3/4 of cheese and beer. Stir well. Spoon
into loaf pan, top with remaining cheese and drizzle with 1 tbs
butter. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and drizzle with remaining
butter. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes more. Remove and let cool on rack for 5
minutes, remove from pan to wire rack to cool completely. Yum!
